I wanted to create a basic style of illustration that would be suitable for use on various items as a design, possibly clothes and fashion items. It had to be bright and colourful and a basic design that could be easily seen on smaller designs as well. I started off hand drawing it and then used my drawing tablet with PhotoShop to create a digital version. I added some freehand text to the original illustration as well.
If I were to redo the project I would spend more time on the mantis design as well as the banner. It was left simple and only using shading to go with the style, but I feel more detail from the beginning may have helped, especially with how small and detailed the flowers look in comparison.
I may revisit the project in the future but as it was a personal project and I wanted to work on other designs I felt it was the time to finish it for now.
